The miracle of ‘putting it out there’

From Wikipedia:

miracle is a perceptible interruption of the laws of nature, such that can be attempted to be explained by divine intervention, and is sometimes associated with a miracle worker. Many folktalesreligious texts, and people claim various events they refer to as “miraculous”. People in different cultures have substantially different definitions of the word “miracle”. Even within a specific religion there is often more than one of the term. Sometimes the term “miracle” may refer to the action of asupernatural being that is not a god. Thus, the term “divine intervention”, by contrast, would refer specifically to the direct involvement of a deity.

In casual usage, “miracle” may also refer to any statistically unlikely but beneficial event, (such as the survival of a natural disaster) or even which regarded as “wonderful” regardless of its likelihood, such as birth. Other miracles might be: survival of a terminal illness, escaping a life threatening situation or ‘beating the odds.’

We have so many rocks, boulders, trap doors, booby traps, brambles, black holes, and the like to pick our way through just now.

My prayers, our prayers, your prayers — a major, MAJOR hurdle has turned into a gate as we start The Adventure of Moving the Small World.

One of Chick’s community from her corner of the interwebs has offered us the use of their 2nd home on a river in Maryland while I pursue A Job (after which we will be able to more permanently plant ourselves). It is, in addition to being a miracle for us especially given our current baggage and challenges, a totally unexpected sanctuary – a home special enough to have a name and the balm of being a healing place.

Good Lord, we need a healing place, and maybe a healing time. Who knew this angel would find us and help us? I aspire to be such for others any time I am able to do something that can change the lives of others in any way, large or small.

So, if you peeked in our windows today (but please don’t, as I startle and scream quite easily), you would see an old gal, a young gal, and even a baby boy doing something like this:

W is no longer the only one who exults, “WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!”
